I’m Dr. Maritsa Yzaguirre-Kelley, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with more than 20 years of experience working within behavioral health and legal systems. My practice focuses on professional mental health and substance use evaluations, including assessments required for court, legal proceedings, and diversion programs. These evaluations are designed to provide clear clinical insight into an individual’s psychological functioning, substance use history, and behavioral health needs. My background includes operating DUI education programs, owning behavioral health treatment centers, and working directly with courts, attorneys, and correctional systems. This experience allows me to approach evaluations with a practical understanding of both clinical assessment and legal expectations. Evaluations are conducted using structured clinical interviews, relevant diagnostic criteria, and professional documentation standards. Reports are written clearly and objectively so attorneys, courts, and related professionals can understand the clinical findings and recommendations. In addition to clinical evaluations, I also provide QEEG brain mapping and neurofeedback assessments, which offer additional insight into cognitive functioning, attention, and emotional regulation.
